What to know before you buy
Plaster has a limited shelf life once the bag is made, so buy it close to when the plasterer needs it. A skim on new plasterboard and a skim over old walls use different amounts, so ask the plasterer to quantify the job.
About these prices
Each price is what the supplier's website showed on the date above, including VAT, for supply only. Where an item was on offer, the normal price is shown struck through. Store prices, trade accounts and delivery charges can all differ.
To cost a whole job, add the quantity to the refurbishment budget, which uses the lowest price here as its starting figure, and add labour alongside it.
